Reparations Summer Project

July 6th - 14th, 2025
This summer, Uhuru Solidarity Movement is hosting a community organizing intensive to build material solidarity with the Black Liberation Movement. Stand with the northside African community building political and economic power in their own hands and resisting the efforts of the city government to gentrify the northside in the aftermath of tornado devastation!
Join the Reparations Summer Project in St. Louis, Missouri from July 6th through July 13th 2025 to win USM members, volunteers and contacts from throughout the U.S. The Reparations Summer Project will be a multi-faceted organizing, recruitment, and political education training intensive and membership drive!
The Reparations Summer Project will include:
- Volunteering to support Black community programs for economic development and self-determination in North St. Louis - Political Education Studies on reparations and how white people can stand in solidarity with African, Mexican, Indigenous, Palestinian and oppressed peoples - Practical trainings and work on Outreach and Recruitment activities, including tabling, door to door, drops, phonebanking and social media. - Volunteering with the Reparations Investment Company, supporting the Black Power Blueprint projects in St. Louis as a concrete expression of reparations in action. - An evening fundraiser for Black Power Blueprint, featuring live music & culture, food & drink, and a raffle!
