Trump and Biden: beyond the “evil of two lessers”

Elections in the United States are nothing but a “non-violent contest between contending sectors of the white ruling class for control of the state,” as written by Omali Yeshitela, Chairman of the African People’s Socialist Party.

This statement rings true in 2020 as it has every other election year. No matter who wins on Nov 3, the police will continue to murder black people in the streets with impunity and stuff African and Indigneous people into the colonial prison system.

Whether under a Trump or Biden administration, the U.S. will still wage its genocidal wars of slaughter and occupation against the people of the Middle East and Africa.

Whether Trump or Biden, the U.S. colonial state will continue to kill Mexican people for crossing an illegitimate border onto their own land, forcing them into detention camps where children are separated from their families and tortured and raped by ICE.

This is colonialism, the system of white power built on the backs of African and Indigenous people for the benefit of the white colonizer nation.

White people who want to see an end to colonialism must go beyond voting and protest. We must take action.

We must get organized under the leadership of the African Revolution.  We must fight for reparations to African people as a genuine revolutionary stand against parasitic capitalism.

Trump owes reparations. Biden owes reparations. We have to make them pay. Make Wall Street and the U.S. government pay reparations for its ongoing legacy of slavery and genocide that built the wealth of the U.S. economy.

Real change will not come from a Democrat in office. Real change is being made in the streets of Minneapolis, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kenosha, Atlanta, Chicago and other cities where African people have courageously and righteously risen up in resistance to the colonial terror they are forced to live under every single day.

Real change is happening under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party and the Uhuru Movement who are transforming the conditions of African people through the Black Power Blueprint, the anti-colonial program for economic and political power in the hands of the black working class.

If we want to stand on the right side of history, we have to break our allegiance from the filthy white ruling class that expects our unity and complicity with their crimes against African and colonized peoples.

Imperialism is imperialism, whether it presents itself in its raw, ugly form as Trump or hides behind a liberal veneer.

Imperialism must be defeated.

White people must stand in principled solidarity with African, Indigenous, Palestinian, Mexican, and anti-colonial struggles everywhere.
