Join an open meeting and discussion to learn about Uhuru Solidarity Movement (USM), the organization of white people created by and accountable to the African People’s Socialist Party (APSP). USM raises reparations to Black Star Industries– the economic wing of the APSP–which is partnering with the African People’s Education and Defense Fund to build the Black Power Blueprint: black-led economic development projects right here in St. Louis spanning a community center, a kitchen, and an outdoor venue for a garden and marketplace.
Hear a presentation by Ticharwa Masimba of the Black Power Blueprint about the progress of the projects, the next steps, and how to join the volunteer work days.
Other topics will include:
1. The history of APSP and USM
2. Anti-racism vs. reparations
3. The Reparations Challenge campaign
